Brick is an excellent choice for constructing a raised bed garden. It gives a very formal and finished look to the entire area. It lasts longer than all other choices, with little maintenance. The only set back is the amount of labor required to put it in. Mortar is necessary. It may be helpful to have a professional install it.
Concrete can be purchased in decorative shapes at the garden centers, for reasonable prices. This also can be used with or without mortar. If you like the idea of using recycled materials, you can pile up broken pieces of concrete for a very unique appearance.
